A special thanks to Diawlbach once again for his hospitality and starting the weekend off in the time honoured way. It was great to meet up with old friends and new. Paul D you'll be glad to know that apparently I made a good attempt at "filling in" for you in the snoring stakes

First of all i would like to extend a BIG thankyou to Steff for organising the trip and the accomodation, which was fantastic and a gr8 location for tying and socialising. Whilst the fishing conditions were far from perfect, most of us got into fish in difficult conditions. Including SMW who had one on the dry! It would have been easier to find, if i hadn't employed ex-professional driver Starlmagwonder as a navigator - You sir are truly awful with a map. Hopefully we will hear from Norsy and SMW soon, but dont hold your breath, they'll probably be in Holyhead by now! I would also like to thnak my companions for the trip Norsy and SMW - it was the funniest drive i have ever had, im still giggling now, what with tonsils, tattoos, long dong silver, Sian lloyd and Ruth Madoc - it would have been a gr8 roadtrip film Also for SMW for teaching me some new ways in tying, Daz for showing me the tricks and skill to his tying! (Cheers mate) and to Dangler for some brilliant ideas and materials! Not forgetting John Clarke for the Apple Pie! Right pics Group shotI think the addition of line in this shot draws they eye of the person viewing away from the standard centre focus, the resulting off centre focal point, is almost impressionist in its style. The RhymneySteff, Arwel and Kieron Durk looking at something in his waders, watched by Diawlbach!Left to Right - Dangler, John Clarke, Sewinangler, Kieron, Cullster, Medicine (Alun i should have listened about the light! doh) Norsy Daz buggingSMW with a fishStarlmagwonder - its a fish mate!It really is!Thanks again to all those who attended - a gr8 weekend Hoppy

Thanks for organising the weekend Steff, great to see everyone and put a smell to a name! I think a vote of thanks to the Tredegar Chamber of Commerce is in order for their top class take-away services. Tuniwes's monosodium duck glutimate was simply breathtaking.
PS. Cullster - you are a cheeky fellow!

Had a fantastic weekend, many thanks to all that showed up for the gathering - especially those that traveled a very long way to get there, your effort was much appreciated. Also, a special thanks for Mike (Dangler) for kindly supplying the breakfast and fly-tying materials (not in the same sitting!), very kind of you. It was great to meet up with old friends and to meet new ones, that's what it's all about. Shame the river wasn't a bit lower, but hey at least it was fishable. I think most of us managed to catch either a trout or a grayling, which was great news. No problem about organising it all guys, it was my pleasure. Thanks for the comments though. I think that it all went ok, and I thought that the accommodation was tremendous; couldn't of asked for a better venue for what we had planned. A few things from the weekend: Norsy is the commentator on Big Brother! uncanny! ;D Norsy and Starlmagwonder - you were bang out of order for violating Hoppy in the way you did All clear now Hoppy? did the Jiff get it off? On a more serious note; Someone has left some fishing stuff and a sleeping bag at the accommodation. Who's the dozy git? send me a PM and we'll get it sorted. Can't wait for the gathering in May now! Best wishes. TT.

If that's a pink sleeping bag cunningly disguised in a dark bag then it's mine Steff. Or should I say my daughter's. No, really it is.
I sense an impending wave of disbelief about this.

Bloody good job you didn't go sleepwalking. A giant pink czech nymph wandering the halls of residence would have frightened the shit out of everybody. Were you trying to get "into character" for the Sunday fishing?

Thanks, for a great weekend. You can always tell when It's been good one, due to the fact is over so quickly. Extended thanks to Colin for Friday Night, especially helping me to read. Teachers really do need to wind down after a hard week, don't they! A great night. Thanks to tuniwes, the hardned old sage, who knew how to avert the hangover by sticking to the same fluid, a lesson learned. Thanks to steff for all the organising, spot on. A great bunch you ALL were. Cheers to sewinangler and steff for getting me down deep. Cheers to the rhymny for relentlessly trying to knock a dizzy man over. Thanks to the 6" grayling for accepting my 60mph natural, and thanks also to Norsey for giving me new insight into seatrout feeding behaviour. "Quote" Their just like the lads avin a few nuts off the bar before they ed to the nightclub, the'l av the kebab after they bin laid. ;D Durk
