Much as I'd love to play, and the boots are still in the garage, I notice that there aren't too many 55 year old scrum halves making the headlines - so with regret.................................

A little anecdot from that great man Willie John McBride
During the 75 tour to South Africa the lions were playing a mid week game and the Ref was so biased against the Lions Mr Mc Bride was infuriated and stated calling the Ref," Knickers" " Hey Knickers he's killing the ball" so on and so forth.
This annoyed the Ref but he did not say anything. At the end of the game which the Lions won Willie John was approached by the ref who enquired why The lions captain was calling him Knickers to which the Great man replied, " Because you are the closest thing to a Fa**y that I could think of."
He didnt use those exact words but have toned it down a bit.
