Just finished bottling the winter's (dont think it will last that long) ;D supply of Damson Gin.

Couldnt resist a bit of a syping in the process,

Absolute Nectar
Got the recipie from a local farmers wife I know.
Basically the bog standard recipie, but with a mix of 2/3 caster sugar and 1/3 demerara sugar, with the addition of a half bottle of tawny port to each 1.5 litre of Gin.
Its the 1st time of making with this mix, but its the same next time around.
Roll on Autumn 2008.

Its not Hip Flasks, its bladder fulls next year, Im gonna order the entire Lyth Valley damson stock for my next dollop ;D ;D

I had this recipe for Christmas cake given to me... being T-Total I wonder, would any care to try it

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Sounds like a sure winner there S I Over 'ere we would call that "Newfie Screech" ;D A "Screech-in" is our local custom of inducting C.F.A.'s as honourary Newfoundlanders'-wherein, the inductee is made to kiss a cod fish on the lips and chase it with a "shot" of "Screech" while mumbling something tottaly in/un cohairaint with a "Newfie" accccemt
