Sunday was a lovely rive to be out on the river, the weather was really nice - in fact even after i fell right in i wasn't cold ;D The fishing was very pleasant and we all caught fish, SMW, swimswim, DAZ and TT. SMW was very lucky to have a ghillie on the beat - Norsy! I managed some small fish on the dry early on, and then had a fair brown trout. After changing to some bugs i managed some better fish. As did Daz I then returned to the dry and had some 1lb fish on the Klinkhammer (and a soaking at this point). Missed a few takes also. Daz has a good number of fish on the Bug, and both he and Steff did well on the dry. A really nice day out! Hoppy

Shame on you forgetting this one. (But its not supprising) Not so much a Ghillie, but someone to talk to, it can get very lonely living north of Whitechurch, and not been privvy to the exclusive club ;D ;D ;D if you know what I mean on behalf of the outcasts, SMW

Cracking river and a really nice day out - good to catch up with club members, and prospective new members (outcome still in the balance!).
Nice size river too, not intimidating. Decent rises throughout the day, but most fish came to the nymphs. Fish were patchy, but were present in good numbers when located.
Look forward to giving it another bash in the near future.
TT.

Managed a few hours this morning on the Severn - i had a good day to be fair - having 9 Browns over 3/4lbs - around 20 Grayling - with 4 or 5 over 1.5lbs - plus a lot of fish lost. I'm wondering if barbless has something to do with it? Anyway the Fish of the day went to Russell with a stonker - the biggest Grayling i've seen caught. (not the biggest i've seen in the water Daz & Tuniwes know what i mean!) Some pics Hoppy
