Hoppy,
they say that the XL is some thing else, will say i think the Edge has got it, but if you look at the forums. all the Powell model`s have won distance casting comps. they are PUKKA rods. that is the Edge, Tiboron II and the XL in the comps.

PS. the early one`s tended to be more softer fishing rods not casting rods. only with the movement in materials, lot better around these days and technology has come on leap`s and bounds.

A couple of pics from yesterday!. Me and Dai got out for a few hours fishing,some great fun was had on the nymphs,and the dry fly. Here's one of Dai with is first ever Grayling....Well done Dave! I think he was beginning to think it was never going to happen!...To say he found it a little frustrating would be a understatement ;D ;D ;D...Little bit different to the carp Dave!....You got to actually strike these fish! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D It did happen anyway!...He took this fish on a 10mm popped up boilie. ;D ;D ;D ;D And one from me!. DAZ.

Hi Al, It was the river Taff, it runs in to Cardiff the capital. We had a great time, and as you know it was the first time Grayling fishing did find them a bit tricky to hook starting off. but did sort it in the end ;D . Dai

I'll try and get some pics up when I get to understand how to upload photos Seems rather complicated from the link but I'll figure it out shortly. I'd recommend a trip to the Czech Rep., fish not as big as the Dee though but great sport & very cheap.

You sound like a load of tackle tarts to me, Since when did you need a £500 plus rod to catch a few grayling or cast across the Towy or £300 reel on a grayling rod etc.etc.
