I have only fished the Towy twice but I am in full support of the buyout of nets on any river system. So to do my bit I bid for lot 1 the Tube Fly Vice. This auction ended on the 1st July and I have not received it but have been told on several occasion that it will be posted etc. I don't know why it has not arrived yet but I am a little p1ssed off To those that are involved with the auction keep the vice as I cant be bothered to wait any longer for it. I am also deleting my profile from this forum and will not be posting any longer. To everyone involved in the buyout I hope its not too long before you reach your goal and that the river goes from strength to strength.

Really sad to hear that you have deleted your profile. I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts and PMs - especially regarding the Ribble. I understand your reasons but I hope you will reconsider. All the best mate.

This is really bad form!! Really sorry to hear about that Wilbert, just checked and that auction ended on July the 1st! There really are no excuses: seatroutfishing.proboards34.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=nets&thread=1181338091&page=1Have you contacted any staff members regarding this Wilbert (I guess that you must have before you decided to delete your profile)? Did you also make contact with the supplier of the vice? was there any return to the contact? I haven't heard anything before now to be honest, but am very annoyed for you Wilbert - people take part in these auctions, donate generously, and expect the product that they won, anything else is deception? On a further matter, it does raise how these auctions run and take place in the future; I don't think that any goods should be placed to auction before they arrive in the organisers hands, which, of course, may be difficult for bespoke pieces, but fairer for all involved. TT.

This is really bad form!! Really sorry to hear about that Wilbert, just checked and that auction ended on July the 1st! There really are no excuses: TT - I agree with what you have said, and i am very disappointed that it still is not rectified. I do understand that the person donating the prize hasn't been well. I have spoke with Wilbert via pm re this matter, as well as this i have pm'd, emailed and telephoned the donator on numerous occassions. I believe that i even passed Wilbert the persons contact details. However i appreciate this hasn't helped. TT did as much as i could to get this straight and sorted - it ended up out of my hands. For this reason there will be no other events in the future, its just not worth the bother. Its the same with everything - the organsiser or facilitator of the event ends up forking out. I have considered repaying Wilbert for the vice, but was assured it would be finished some time last autumn. Wilbert i am sorry you have decided to delete your account. I can assure you that i have been trying to sort this out. In fact i rang the person concerned a few weeks ago to chase it up. I totally understand your disappointment and for what its worth i am sorry. Hoppy

Hi Wilbert I am sorry to here about this problem, it reflects badly on our whole project, if you contact me personally I will see that you are reimbursed with your money, I only saw this when someone pointed it out to me this morning. Gethyn.

Gethyn thanks for the kind offer but my gripe is not about being reimbursed with the money more that I have not been supplied with what I have bid for and the time that has passed since the auction ended and the action that I have taken.
The net buyout is more important than my bank balance so see it as a pure donation.
If the vice ever appears raffle it off at a fund raising evening.

Hi Wilbert,
I have repliedied to this on Hoppy's thread as I thought this was an older post and have only just seen the direct thread.
As you have removed your account I could not pm you directly but did send one to Gethyn.
Things have not changed since I pm'd you in November and I have only just started to come back on the forum.
I still have your details and you will be receiving the vice. I am sorry if this has caused you concern or that you feel that you have been deceived.
Perhaps I should not have advertised the vices until I was sure that I would be able to complete all the orders.
Again I can only apologise and ask you to bear with me on this. I will be trying to finish these off as soon as I can and I would ask that you reconsider your membership to this forum.
Once again I can only apologise, best regards,
Ian
