Hi Folks, I am posting a request that I hope somebody can help. I would like to obtain older' KILTY FLYING CONDOMS' as these: or this these were originally made in Cork and well they where shipped everywhere except here in N Ireland. I would appreciate any help if anyone has any of these. I caught my 1st spinner caught salmon on them and had great beleive in them, however, they stopped making them as better spinning qualities where found in teardrop beads that also halved the price aswell. The early Kilty's were sometimes hit 7 miss in the spinning department. Some might say KILTY on the Blade but this does not really matter I'm trying to see as many variants as possible as these 2 where standard but beleive there where hammered blades and different colours too. Will swap flies or a new Flying C that work & catch for these lures or a source of where to buy old stock. I managed a good few years ago to get some of a Welsh Gent in Mid-Glam but could have done with more......hindsight eh! If you would part with yours or know of some please PM Best regards BB

Hi Daz,
Its that sentimental streak developing in old age! ;D
I have made various spinners and its just 1 of those missions I've went on..........I wanted to give trying to find long lost Kilty Flying C's one last go......... see its been on & off since I could not get the dam things when I was younger & they were available but like I said everywhere except here!!!
Partridge distiribuated them in England and someone bought what was left etc.. but who???
Anyways thanks for your reply and well if nothing materialises I'll just have to go to therapy! ;D

Hi B.B., I was talking to Sewinangler earlier and showed him your post. He mentioned that McHardy's of Carlisle do a couple of DIY kits for flying C's. If you speak to them, he seems to think that you can mix and match the blades, colours and barrels to get them how you want. Might well be worth a try??? You never know ATB DAZ
