water extractaction from 3 rivers in swales

WATER PLANS BATTLE
ANTI_PIPELINE campaigners are trying to prevent water being taken from local rivers this summer.,
a campainer spokesman said : national grids contractors nacap land and marine have lodged an application with the EA toextract massive quantities of water from the river loughor ,lliw,and tawe rivers this summer , they intend to use the water to hydrostatically test thier pipeline ,by pumpin thousands of cubic meters of water through the pipeline at extreme pressures to test the pipelines integrity
surely it would be gross hypocrisy for the EA to approve permmision for a major contractors to pump thousands of gallons from our rivers,,,,

Couldnt agree with you more Muddlerman and why oh why are these schemes always planned for the summer months when river flows are at their lowest.If the EA are acting in our best interests then they must surely refuse.
Why dont you contact the EA direct and voice your opposition and get your mates to do the same and try to get it deferred until end of season.Let me know if you want me to contact them as well
