€70,000 worth of illegally and I assume untagged fish (in excess 500) were discovered in a "giant freezers" by the Sth West Fishery Board officials whose job it is to inspect any premises that may store salmon. Asst CEO Patrick Buck refused to name the premises (Aidan Barry CEO must be on holidays) and stated that they conducted audits on "fish in, fish out" and that some of the salmon weighed more than 20lbs.
John Murphy of Waterville was first out of the traps with his congrats and said it all with " Anglers believe that this is the tip of the iceberg. These salmon were illegally caught and outside of the quota. There aren't enough resources to police the situation properly."

Absolutely crazy but i suppose a result all the same , and yes you are Right there aren't enough resources to police the situation , how many more fish are tucked away illegally in big freezers, the situation is bad enough, but with people like this i fear it is only going to get worse Dai.
