There have been lots of changes off the North East coast of late Hoppy. A pipefish explosion, more frequent sightings of scad and gars, pods of dolphins closer to shore than ever and more notably Whitby's charter boats are catching steady numbers of porbeagles and targeting tope. Add to that the increasing numbers of wrasse around the rock marks and it looks like we're not just going to be aiming for the cod which are, and have been the staple catch for sea anglers round here for decades.
