With sad heart, i'll report that 2 rivers where devastated yesterday again by pollution. The river Lagan has suffered with a chemical spill wiping out so far about 1500+ wild idengenious brown trout etc and counting. A tragedy for the Lagan Valley Club who have done much work & imporvemnts. The second is the Shimna River on the Easy coast, noted for its seatrout, though a shadow of its former self as the river that produced the Irish record seatrout of 16lb, a sewage spill on its spawning tributory and entry into the main river will put it back yet again. This was caused by the water Board who are dab hands at this as they are the only water controller with Crown Immunnity. They also do the verifying and testing on pollution so as usual they get away with it..................yet again..... The rest of the UK should know that over here the DOE (department of environment) really stands for 'Destroyers of Environment' news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/5187146.stmP**sed Off BB
