An article is in the December issue of Fly Fishing and Fly tying on page 8 has the following heading, "EA seeks your advice". It goes on to say how they are looking for advisers, net-workers and critical friends(god knows what they mean by that)and is seeking people to join its Regional Advisory Committees through England and Wales.
They will meet four times an year to bring their ideas to the table, helping to shape and influence the EA's policies etc.
The Regional Environment Protection Advisory Committee(REPAC) will focus on how the EA protects the environment.
The Regional Fisheries, Ecology & Recreation Advisory Committee(RFERAC) will look at how the EA improves and develops fisheries, ecology, recreation and river navigation. The welsh committee is currently working on an environmental strategy to deal with non-native species and the feasibility of voluntary access agreements to water for Canoeing !!!!!!!!!!!
