I was grateful for a meeting yesterday with our local AM yesterday Mr Carwyn , Minister for the Countryside, Planning and the Environment.
Mr is obviously awaiting the report into enforcement from EAW early next year. I made him aware that the angling community in Wales is not holding out much hope of this report stating the true facts.
Mr was given a full overview of the current crisis affecting Welsh migrarory rivers due to lack of enforcement. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the subject. I'm sure most of us have a particular picture painted in our minds of government ministers. I must say that Mr gave the impression that he cared about this issue.
I walked out of our meeting in a positive mood and am confident that Mr will not be 'blinded' by the forthcoming report from EAW.

Rwbridgend,
What a joy to see a positive posting on the forum on the possibility of progress with the EAW. You are to be congratulated for your continuing hard work!
I hope the EAW will soon come to realise they may be able fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but they can not fool all of the people all of the time.
Well done.
Regards.

rwbridgend,
Good for you, we have with the concerted efforts certainly acheived in bringing the facts to the fore, how we reach the ultimate goal is through continuance of throwing facts in all directions that matter.
