Having seen the interest in the snake thread, i thought that it might be an idea for tiers to sell their flies through this page, or at least get some contacts. For years i have used Sid Knight flies and dressing materials and would continue to recommend his service. More recently i have been impressed with Gerry Neely's flies - www.finnock.co.ukAnd there is no doubting that Tuniwes, Ian Finylas's flies really do catch fish. These are my recommendations at the moment, however people may have their own ideas. My recommendations are based on quality and fishability only!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the best Hoppy

Hello all. I am thinking of putting together a boxed selection of flies up for sale, and I would like to have some feed back off you guys!!! for example!! If it were you, would you prefer the flies presented in a quality box and pay the extra?? Or in a run of the mill box to save a few pennies?? etc!! etc!! Any feed back would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

Daz, about time mate, the best of luck to you, why not give folks the choice? pick a decent brand that is easily available to you, and a cheaper one, or unboxed, give a price and let them pick. i'll be in touch John,

Nice one Daz, best of luck mate. Agree with SI regarding the box etc. Especially since a lot of people would already have the box, but not the killing patterns These would make an ideal gift for Christmas, and I, for one, can highly recommend the quality and effectiveness of Daz' tying - spot on. TT.

Pm me your address and I'll send you a sample of my packaging. Really strong, light and simple. Cheers Ian

Daz
I would go for it 100%!!!
Your flies are exceptional and you are a proven taker of fish, this is a winning combination. The quality of your flies has been commented on by professional tyers and other anglers.
The other aspect of your flies is that they are not available in the shops, and therefore you have a ready market, and a very good starting place. Your patterns are far more than the traditional - take your jambo variants and your tubes - they are unique.
In respect of boxes - i have to differ from Ian & TT. Some people like a nice clean box of flies that they can wonder at! A box also makes an ideal gift - thinking towards Xmas! I think it should be considered as an option - perhaps if specifically requested.
In my opinion I beleive you have a product that will sell well, and nows the time to get it going.
Hoppy
ps - i will definately be your first customer!

For those of you wanting to obtain a box of quality flies then these would definitely be a good buy certainly not like some of your shop bought flies ,that i know because i have spent many an hour watching him putting these creations together and it must be said that one hundred and ten percent go's into every one , as for being fish takers well i have also spent many an hour by his side with the net ;D like whats already been said a cracking Christmas present or even ready for the new season daz i wish you all the best and who knows you may be able to give up the day job ;D S.T.Y.L Dai.

Going by the look of the patterns on the tubes tread, go for it Daz, they are brilliant mate, you shouldnt have any problem getting shot of your stock, but you may have a problem keeping up with demand.
Good Luck

Best of luck with your venture Daz. I am sure it will be successfull. I would suggest that you offer selections both with or without a box. I just wish I had your tying ability!
