Dai “the Duff” Roberts and the Rhymney river fly monitoring group will be on the box for a ten minute regional slot in the “Nature of Britain” series, BBC1 Wales, 9pm , 31st October. Repeated 4th November. This is a great opportunity to see what a truly determined enthusiast can achieve for their local water, in this case by using invertebrate monitoring to identify pollution on a river which is all too used to industrial poisoning.

Looking forward to this series, hope to see something substantial on rivers and life it supports.
Think we should also point out to members that under the guise of the Teifi Rivers Trust, a number of forum members, will in 2008, be undertaking monthly testing of the length of the Teifi. This will be done via the support of the Teifi Rivers Trust and SOME of the clubs in the valley.
