If you are travelling down to the Teifi valley area over the next few weeks and would like to get your kids involved in fishing then this is the ideal opportunity.
Every summer Llandysul Angling Association arranges this event in order to promote and encourage young people into the sport - indeed, it's how I began fly-fishing many moons ago!
2 club members give their time freely for these events and the they're usually very successful - my thanks go out to Eric and Peter. The kids don't need to bring anything more than some sunglasses and cap, all tackle is provided for them!
Kids should be in the 6-14 year age bracket - but this is slightly flexible.
The classes take place for the next few Fridays, and usually last about 2 hours. The classes are undertaken in the playing fields in Llandysul.
For more information contact Eric Davies on: 01559 362485
A great experience for the kids, and best of all it's free!
TT.

Just a brief update on this: The summer event was once again a huge success, with very good turnouts and many happy faces! One week saw 35-40 kids turn up which was fantastic news, and great to hear. Long may it continue, and I hope that the seed was sown for many of them. Thanks once again to the Club for backing the scheme, and to Eric, Peter and Dion for undertaking the lessons, which can't of been easy with such numbers. TT.
