For those that may be interested; Gelli-Aur game fair, near Nantgaredig/Llandeilo, is this coming weekend 17/18th June. A really nice day out with plenty to see. A great place to pick up some bargains.
Hope to catch up with some of you there.

thinking of gettin a new sewin rod at the gamefair, my redington struggles with a surface lure at night, not enough backbone i guess, n e suggestion on a rod?

I like the sage xp in a9'6" 7wt for general sewin stuff. For big waddys, surface lures and brass tubes i use a Redington CPS 9'6" 8wt which i recently bought. I would put some money on the cps having the same blank as the xp. It comes with fuji rings,the best bit is its half the price. Its a much nicer and a more progressive rod than the old greyflex 10'7/8wt i used to use for surface lures.
I would imagine that a GLX loomis in a 8wt would throw a brick. I rather the former two rods though, build quality is far better than the loomis. I went through 2 glx 9'6wt in 14months last year due to the guides wearing.

cheers rio, did u get anything on the towy after I left the other night? As i was walking home, one sewin rose out of the water, up by where i told u that slab of brick was in the water, didnt get a chance to see it but sounded big!

That was me falling in! Only fished the length of that pool, bugger all. If you had said you were after a rod then you could have had a couple of casts on mine. Nothing like casting in the dark to give you the feel of a rod!
PM me next time you want to go out if you want some company. I wont be fishing the Towy till next week though, on the Neath tomorrow night.

RIO, wot does PM mean? I went over the towy last nite had my first fish, about 4lb.....had the biggest and cheesyest grin on my face EVER! i'll post a new thread with a pic of it tomorrow 4 u 2 c!
