What a cracking weekend that was! What fishing is all about, great crowd, great laughs, and some great fishing - not bad for a weekend in February! Great to see some of our very own forum members there, including the highly acclaimed 'Grayling-Guru' (a.k.a PaulD!) ;D Here are some pics from the weekend: And here's one caught by our very own Hoppy! Looking forward to being able to post some pics of sewin! not long now. Teifi Terrorist.

........including the highly acclaimed 'Grayling-Guru' (a.k.a PaulD!) ;D Teifi Terrorist. Oh the price of anonymity! You do your best to help these young lads out....... and what happens! Terrorist, bless him, had forgotten to bring a fly line with him (or so it seemed to me) and fished with just Dacron backing outside his rod tip! Luckily, his restricted casting ability didn't affect his ability to catch fish, albeit somewhat small ones (he almost concussed me with a mini-grayling that flew from the water when he struck the poor unsuspecting mite,) on the Saturday. Clearly, Terrorist had taken on board the wealth of experiences that Hoppy and I generously shared with him and on Sunday, by magic and dark arts, he winkled a further 10 grayling out when the rest of us struggled! If only he could stop shuffling his feet in the river I'm sure that Terrorist might turn into a bit of a fisherman. ;D I am left in awe and with an ambition to catch a grayling heavier than the Terrorist's fly box! RESPECT.

Yes, it is fair to say the Teifi Terrorist was a student who was willing to learn from the master Grayling guru himself! I think it was something to do with the Guru's teaching abilities! However on sunday true form was shown by TT, and we were left high, dry and blomin cold. I blanked, loosing 3, the Guru had 1 and lost a few (his french was excellent though) and the Terrorist had 10 in 2 hours! ce la vie ;D The moral, dont take the p*ss b4 the weekends over....you get burnt! An angling masterclass from Steff Hoppy... ;D
