I am not sure if this is the right place to put this message, but here goes......
............am going to Vancouver on the 22nd and it's not for the bears, women, beer...obviously it's for the fish. Anyone been? Anyone know someone who has been? Anyone going as well? Where do I go? I want to flyfish...Any advice would be great (serious advice only as I know that so many of these members are usually so drunk by the time they get to this forum)

I went last October - good river to fish is the River Sqaumish - which is also the name of a town about an hours drive North of Vancouver, on the road to Whistler. There is an excellent tackle shop in Squamish, very close to the River Mamquam, a tributary of the River Squamish. The guys there were very helpful, and gave me excellent maps to find good, quiet fishing about 30 mins drive from the town itself. The Mamquam got very very busy and was not what i went to Canada for! I can also recommend 'Anglers West' tackle shop in Vancouver. A chap called Aaron was most helpful.
Stunning countryside. The 'Sea to Sky' hotel in Squamish offers fantastic value, and excellent and friendly service.

Thanks for your reply.
Please tell me is Squamish near smithers? And tell me about your trip, what did you catch? What did you fish for? What dates were you there? What tackle did you bring. Please don't be shy! I need as much info as possible.
Best regards
