Rod Joints

Hi all
My first post for a while can someone explain
Whats the difference, where's the benefits, whats the best rod joint,
over fit type or ferrule spigot

Hi naveb1,

i find that the spigot joint does show a flat spot in a blank, were as a over joint tends to be shorter and you don't get the flat spots.

i have built many rods in my time and in the 70/ 80s had my rod building company and would play about with many different joints to see what worked best .
