I have purchased a nice new fly line which comes with separate loops. I am finding it very difficult to get the fly into the braided loop. It may seema numpty question, but what or how is this best achieved.

Hi Woldedge, if its tight try using a BIG tapestry needle ( blunt ) push the braid loop on and ease it up the needle.. it's bound to be a mono loop and this will stretch it, Slide it off and without pulling it tight ease the end of the fly line into the braid a tiny bit at a time and just keep working it on untill you have about 4" on the line then put a short whipping over the end of the braid nearest the rod and varnish, i put a second whipping near the end nearest the loop also . Try cutting the end of the fly line at a slight angle to facilitate easy entry..
Hope this helps..
Si
