Seven hours or so fishing with good quality lines.......rings were cut through to the stage the rod needed re-ringing.... Had words with with Airflo.... they reckoned it was the first complaint they had had of this happening....one other guy on the forum had also bought one and had the same thing happen..... odd . Sent me two ridge lines as compensation... which are great. i actually liked the blank which i use on resevoirs, it's not a bad casting blank.... after i had re-ringed it.... leave it up to you... i did get the rod and an Mt rod cheap..... I suppose when rods are as cheap as they are, some thing must be sacrificed but 7 hours, i ask you.By the way the MT went the same but i aint reringed it yet but i will... but i wont buy another cheap airflo rod. I decided to get one in the end Only £40 quid from tacklebargains.co.uk It arrived this morning and the blank looks/feels great, although I must admit that the rings don't look the sturdiest. Haven't cast the thing yet but I will let you know what happens!

The blank aint bad T7, as I said I reringed it and use it on the res...you would find it hard to get a blank with a handle on for the price of the rods...so not much lost...I like the MT blank better...just aint had the inclination to re-build it yet ... but I will....hope they have improved the ring quality, and yours lasts longer.. best of luck..

Christened the new rod today! Unfortunately not on a seatrout though Managed 4 Rainbows today on a reservoir as the river is still in flood. The rod was really good - not as slow actioned as I had been led to believe. Possibly a little soft for my usual taste but for £40 instead of £150 odd it is definately worth the money. P.S. SI the rings survived 5 hours-ish today mate, let's hope they carry on!
