Steff
Forgive my caution but is this really EXACTLY the same stuff ? I am a massive PG fan as you know but I'm finding it harder to source locally for reasons that are beyond me as it is nigh on perfect in my humble opinion. This TFG stuff however is everywhere...or maybe its just MH's face that is everywhere !Please reassure me before I dive in.
And for anyone who is not familiar with Pro Gold Steff is absolutely right about it.I have used it for years for nigh on everything except trout fishing. It is phenomenal stuff.

100%, Matt told me himself . He trusts it as much as I do, and just had it re-labeled for his line of products, I think it's even the same spool just a different label. I have just ordered a spool from the aformentioned link so you can wait until I do a comparison test with another spool I've got if you like. With a little luck it should turn up today. Steff.

Steff
I would be very interested to see how you think it compares. If it is PG then this is an outstanding tip.

100% without a shadow of a doubt. Got the spool and it is exactly the same stuff, and I did get the 'tip' re-confirmed yesterday to make sure that I wasn't talking crap, which does happen from time to time ;D Steff.

Excellent...except that now I can't find the flippin stuff in the bs I want. With a track record like mine I cannot bring myself to use 15lb leaders...though I might get a few more flies back out of the trees if I did.I defy anyone to get broken on 15lb Pro Gold...it would stop a sub.

Skippy; use the link that I provided and ask them for the B/S that you require. They were more than helpful with me. TT.

Which just goes to show how important confidence in your own choice of gear is,be that rod, reel, line or fly.Being a shameless tackle tart I've tried no end of lines over the years including Super Shinobi which personally I couldn't get in the bin fast enough...along with the Fulling Mill,Riverge,Double Strength and Krystonite which I foolishly tried out for my other great passion [barbel] and which cost me a lump.
I also cant understand what people see in Sage rods [other than for growing beans up and bamboo sticks are a lot cheaper ] and try as I might [and believe me I have] I just cannot cast a Cortland line of any weight or description. But I have absolute confidence in my leader material.
