Hello, First post and all that. Any one familiar with the above lure, just got some in 18gram for spinning in estuaries and salt. Have had success with toby rockets, dexter wedges and viva parades in these areas. Do a lot of SWFF but when windy do a bit of spinning. These are a very narrow lure. jumpersnall

Hi Jumpersnall, cheapest i found was 5 euros aprox £3.30?, Fladen and others do lures, very like them a lot cheaper. No dressing, but that would take a couple of mins for what they are. i have used the fladen lures, several types, And have caught on them all. All cast well, at 18gr they should. sorry for poor pic. The Dam effect look ok but for the number i loose in heavy kelp i will stick to these.

Silver Invicta, similar in length etc to the Fladen, however they do a luminous one which when charged with a UV light is amazing. Have'nt tried it yet but was impressed with the lights off! I mainly spin with braid now and a 12lb fluoro tippet which has reduced lure losses thankfully. Anybody much info on the type of lures used in denmark for setrout spinning in salt? Jumpersnall

JS, where i fish in the salt i can use 15-20lb and still have losses, in fact if i hook the kelp, i will seldom get the lure back, its so thick. i tried braid. It did not help. I hook a lot of pollock, and especialy in April and may the better fish are inshore, i often land them up to 8-9lb and even with heavy gear it's not easy to land em, its a jungle below and not that deep. Lads on the forum who fish with luminous target points on their lures agree that the strike rate is better when the glow is almost gone and not when its bright, i cant comment. Si

SilverInvicta, sounds like serious kelpbeds there, do you get bass there as well? Will report back when i get some results on these lures. Jumpersnall

Its not just kelp, J.S, its a structure that collapsed at the turn of the century, and there are huge blocks 8-10 ton weight also down there, the Pollock run to double figures, they invariably take at extreme range quite often taking the lure on the drop, its the smaller fish take closer in. I have taken fish to 14lb plus over the same ground but from a boat, you can appreciate its a lot easier when your above or nearly above the fish, i am casting up to 60-70 yds from rocks, and thats the situation. I have never had a Bass from that mark, good coalies 6-7lb. The Bass fishing can be superb off the beaches but my local beaches aint that good, i do catch Bass off them but there are far better.I dont do enough Bassing, i am too lazy too make the effort, and there are several good pollock marks local. When i do fish Bass i like to fly fish for them, But for the last two years i have not been able to very often due to health probs, but i will this year, hopefully.I intend to try more for sewin in the salt this year also. SI.
