Wow! That should be the dog's danglies for Denmark. Fancy casting a whole 30 feet every time and no tangles.Should cover the Baltic between us no probs. Mike, how many extra bobbers would you recommend?

Well, there are quite a few places where casting thirty feet would catch you plenty of fish, but I like to cast a little further usually. I only posted it as a joke! Having said that, I once met a bloke in Sweden using a crossbow to get his gear out into the middle of a large lake! He caught quite a few fish as well. He looked to be getting his gear out several hundred yards. He had a largish fixed spool reel mounted below the crossbow, and an odd looking telescopic extension, which he extended after each "cast", and then used as a rod. Quite fascinating I thought, although rather unwieldy. I remember wondering what would happen if he got a tangle on the "cast". Gives an entirely new meaning to "bolt rig" I rather wanted to have a closer look at it, especially how he was managing to "drop" the line and tackle from the bolt, but my wife and I were on the way home at the time, and in something of a hurry, as we had already stayed longer than we should have for the "last cast" ! Mike, Sorry, I was only kidding but sadly I'm not clever enough on the pc to bring up the smiley faces. I very much appreciate your posts and the effort involved particularly the advice regarding the Denmark trip. Nonetheless,if the fishing is slow in the Baltic we might be able to convert the bazooka rod for paintballing! Just so long as we are all less than 30feet apart.
Regards, Mike

Regards, Mike No problem, I assumed you were kidding. You can use smilies simply by typing in the appropriate abbreviation. These are fairly standard. This " : " and this " ) " together, ( without the inverted commas) give this You can also choose a pictographic smiley ( which is then usually known as an emoticon, although the terms are really interchangeable ) from the list above the "normal" reply box. This one is " : : ) " together, and without the inverted commas. You can find a list of such abbreviations here; www.harley.com/abbreviations/index.htmlSome very complex smilies and emoticons are used; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoticonwww.windweaver.com/emoticon.htmTL MC
