Could a Popper be implemented, as a Wake lure at night, for Sea Trout ?

YES!! No Problem
Anything that makes a wake will take a fish.Only one thing with popper's they do take a bit of effort to cast.It makes life so much easier using a simple muddler or plastic tube type lure.

I use Rainys Poppers and reverse them for wake lures I find them fairly easy to cast. I do fancy getting them to actually pop, and i will give this a try in 2007. Hoppy

Those will also be very good on the Baltic at night. I would colour the heads black as well though.
Most people use flies that leave a Wake, but don´t actually "pop".
Even cod will rise and grab these.
