Andy Nicholas talks about them in his video "The Enigmatic Sea Trout" filmed on the Dyfi. Hope this is of use. Cheers Aled

has anyone ever used these? is so are they any good? would they work for sea trout aswell as salmon? thanks stefan I tried these for a while on a couple of very overgrown local streams, where flycasting was impossible. I ket getting badly hung up. Unless the bottom is fairly clean, and you have a good flow, they are not that brilliant. Not cheap either. I had more success with "tiroler holzl", here are some pictures; images.google.de/images?svnum=10&hl=de&q=tiroler+h%C3%B6lzl&spell=1Got far fewer hangups, and more fish. These are cheap enough, and very easy to change for various runs, flow rates etc. TL MC

Also, I think they present the bait far more attractively!

Bouncing bombs...i think they are a gimmick!
The price is to high, they still get stuck and size/weight ratio they are huge!
Stick with lighter weights on a running rig, you wont go wrong.
