anyone used these before? i bought one many years ago, only had two casts with it and on second cast, lost it on a snag. although the first cast, i hooked a brownie and i must say ive never seen a spinner in my life with such a great action to it. unfortunatley ive never seen these badboys in any of the shops since. ive tried ebay, not even any on there. does anyone know any websites that sell them at real gd prices? anyone had any luck with them here?

I HAVE USED TAS DEVILS FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS WITH SEVERAL SEWIN TO 5LB TAKEN ON THEM PLUS MANY MANY TROUT WHILST FISHING FOR MIGRATORY FISH. THEY ARE SOMEWHAT LIGHTER THAN SAY FLYING C LURES WHICH SCORE IN THE HEAVIER WATER DUE TO THEIR WEIGHT BUT I THINK THAT THE DEVILS ARE FANTASTIC IN LOWER FLOWS ESPECIALLY ON ROUGH BOTTOMED STRETCHES WHEREBY THEIR "AIRCRAFT LIKE WING DESIGN KEEPS THEM OUT OF THE SNAGS AND THEIR ACTON IS VERY DIFFERENT TO OTHER LURES! I PURCHASED SEVERAL OF THE "RAINBOW TROUT PATTERNS WHILST IN OUGHTERARD/LOUGH CORRIB THIS YEAR AND USED THEM REPEATEDLY ON THE OGMORE IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS OF THE SEASON AND TOOK SEWIN IN GIN CLEAR WATER AND IN COLOURED WATER ON THEM BUT MOST STARTLING WAS THE VAST AMOUNT OF FOLLOWS/HITS IN CLEAR WATER CONDITIONS-I MAKES YOU REALISE HOW MANY FISH MUST SEE YOUR LURE AT EACH CAST! I WOULD WISH TO HAVE SOME HEAVIER PATTERNS THAN THOSE I HAVE SOURCED-YES MANY OUTLETS DO NOT SEEM TO STOCK THEM-IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A GOD REASONABLY PRICED SOURC LET US KNOW-GOLDHEAD

More info; www.tackletour.com/reviewwigstontd.htmlTuning these lures makes them work even better. They are often very attractive to big brownies, although sometimes one needs to find the "colour of the day". I have only had varied success with these on seatrout, but then I donĀ“t spin very often nowadays either. TL MC

The interesting thing with Tazzy Devils is you can mount them either way (oooer misses!) and the action varies considerably!
THey were available from the 'Salmon Leap', Cenarth.

Hi,
Only just seen this thread. Have found Tasmanian Devils an extremely effective trolling bait on the big Irish Lakes (largely to entertain the kids in flat calm conditions I have to add and fish returned!). You need to set the speed to produce a distinctive pulsating action in the bait.
I've tried them in rivers briefly, without success - suspect that the optimum conditions for fishing them in rivers make their usage a bit restrictive. e.g right depth, flow etc to get that pulsating action without catching the bottom or sides of the river.
