anyone remeber the ondex spinners you used to be able to get in shops, they were like mepps only the trble had red wool on them. i only used them for pike but are they effective for salmon and sea trout also? anyone had any luck with them?
cheers

OK for pike - very good for perch but there's a whole raft of lures that I'd use in preference for salmon and sea trout.

Ah, the Ondex, the spinner whose red-wool ball on the treble made it go rusty. I have some somewhere from size 0 up to a whacking size 5.
Salmon and sea-trout?
Yes, but only after you had first
1) replaced the woolly treble.
2) wound a goodly amount of fine lead-wire along the shank to give the thing some casting and fishing weight.
They caught, when I had run out of Mepps...
Anyone interested in a size 5, in original condition, with original woolly back-end...?

;D ;D ;D ;D
Anybody remember the 'German Bar Spoons'? Mevigissy Eels? Taxi door handles?
Thing is - fish are not the most sophisticated of God's creatures and from time to time they'll take anything - just as well - 'cos from time to time we'd all lose interest!
