hi i have just finished reading Hugh falkus book some of it was fun. what a classic book from start to finish i couldn't put it down till i read the last page. from the war years flying spitfires to being shot down and nearly being killed by the gestapo thugs to surviving the war and eventually living in cumbria. i would have thought the publisher might have combined the stolen years with this book. if you have had the pleasure reading Hugh,s earlier books then please go out and buy this one . regards Andy

Andy,
I too have the book and find it a good read, however it is a combination of The Stolen Years, and the dialogue from the films Salmo the Leaper and Self Portrait of a Happy Man. Still a good read, but imagine my disappointment when the first chapter is exactly the same as in the Stolen Years!
