Hi guys,
What leader setup do you use and what mono/fluoro do you use?

I use, and have developed a great trust in Rio Powerflex Copolymer.
Because I often fish with quite large tubes and waddingtons - often a light tube on the point and a small waddington 4ft further up the leader - I like to use a steeply tapered leader to a) turn the fly over effectively so that it's 'fishing' asap and b) to minimise the frequency of tangles.
I've found the Powerflex to have a high strength to diameter and also to knot very reliably.
An 8ft leader would look like this; 1ft - 52lb bs 1ft - 35lb bs 1ft - 21lb bs 1ft - 15lb bs 0X(plus dropper) 4ft - 13lb bs 1X
For fishing larger, heavier tubes and waddingtons on a sinking or sink-tip line I'd confidently shorten the leader to 4 or 6ft and use even heavier mono for the butt of the leader.

Wow...Paul that is a complicated set up. You make that yourself or buy knotless?
I just use 12lb Maxima (the brown stuff) straight through. 6 foot.

I make them myself - I really should get out more! If anybody is as sad (retentive) as me and have an urge to investigate leader construction the link below will provide hours of harmless fun! globalflyfisher.com/fishbetter/leadercalc/?nc=1
