I drafted in some help from a friend Martin Hughes on this one, as I knew that he had the resources to check this one out.
The rod a 10' 2 piece as listed in Hardys book, was made between 1969 up until 1980 in Fiberglass. That is about all it says. So I guess as it had such a long production run then there will still be a few about

Hi
I bought one (from Sportsmail I think) in about ~1977. Cannnot remember the price but have a feeling it was about £60-70 ? Caught a lot of sewin and a few salmon on it. I still have it but rather too heavy and a bit stiff for my liking (its glass fibre) in comparison to todays carbon rods. Had to replace the top ring as it was wearing.
My son (12) is dying to use it as he thinks fishing with a ** Hardy ** rod will automatically catch fish!
