Thanks, Colin. I have just discovered that there is a Maplin's local to me, just a few minutes away. Walked past the shop many times, but have never been in. I will now.

Visited my local Maplins earlier. The branch didn't have of Diawl's boxes in stock, but it did have Code AN83E -- an unbreakable plastic, 18-partition, 8.25in. x 4.75in. x 1 3/8in. excellent "Dry Fly Box" for the absolutely heinous price of £1.99. Just to spite them, I bought three.

I have one or two special bushes and trees which I use to store most of my tubes. They are quite flexible, you can use the branches while casting - or the roots while fishing.
I sometimes use these bushes for keeping spinners too, a trick I demonstrated to the boys on the Teifi recently.
