I mainly use small tube flies and occasionally flies which include flying trebles for my sewin fishing on the Loghour. A friend of mine said he would only use Partridge outpoints. I have found them difficult to get hold of and expensive when I found them. Does anyone else use them regularly if so where do you buy them? Are there any other brands which anyone finds effective?

Partidge Outpoints shouldn't be too difficult to source - Sportfish are very reliable - but yes they are an expensive way of decorating trees! On the plus side they are excellent - ultra sharp, fine wire and very strong. I love 'em!

Personally i buy pike trebles from coarse fishing shops if they can cope with a 20lb pike then it should cope with most sewin i'd encounter. A lot cheaper too!. Cheers Aled

Ditto.
The world for me would end if the size 14 (very occasionally 12) Outpoint Treble ceased to be available for SW stingers.
For tubes, though, take a look at this DOUBLE:
Partridge BMD Big Mouth Double in sizes 8 to 16.
Very sharp, very strong and £3.00 for 10 hooks.
They are 'big' for their size -- even the 16 is too large for standard stinger-hook work.
But great for tubes and snakes.
Just glad, however, that Alan Bramley the owner of the old Partridge firm was a friend for many years, and mailed me packets of free trebles from time to time -- sent by a friend to a friend, not as a manufacturer to some celebrity angling-face or product-promoter.

Give Douglas a call at flymakers.co.uk
He gets slight seconds and better direct from mustad/partridge and sells 'em cheap.
Not had one fail on me yet.
