Hi All, Moonshadow came up with a great idea for a fund raiser for the CFF but I am asking you would you support it, the money would be raised to donate to the CFF.
Ok idea, lets say 20 anglers make a tenner donation, = £ 200.00 and let's say the person who catches the biggest seatrout on the fly wins a figure of say £ 50, then the reamainder of £ 150.00 goes towards the CFF fund. Now then there can be more than 20 anglers which would mean a bigger donation to the winning angler and to the CFF.
I am sure it can be fine tuned or worded differently but the money will go to the CFF.
Please let me have your thoughts.
Following on from that,
Hi All, Add you name to the list, the kitty prize wil be 25% of the collected figure, the more that enter the competition the more money the winner and CFF net Buy Out Fund will get.
The winner is the angler who has caught the biggest fly caught seatrout until the end of the season, you must have photographic evidence or it must be witnessed by another person. It's only a tenner lads.

Cheque now in post.
In the unlikely event that I do get the biggest fish I've got no intention of claiming the cash prize.
Maybe it would be better to offer a year's membership of one of the Towy fishing clubs as a prize to keep the fund as full as possible.
Let's hope we get a few more contributors to this, I'd have thought we'd see a few more names on the list by now.

Go on then, sounds like a bit of a laugh if nothing else. I will mirror Diawlbach' comment, in the unlikely event that I do win please keep the money for the pot.
P.s. As for claiming the fish etc. Could we go by winning length? which is certified by either a. witness, or b. photograph? would promote the general cause of catch and release, especially in the later half of the season with the staler fish in the system.
TT.

Hi All, Watermole, I can't take the pats on the back for the idea, the pats on the back should go to Moonshadow, not only did he think of this grat idea, he is kindly putting up two auction lots which are brilliant and very generous. ATB. Reeco
PS I have deleted all the old updated entries myself and I think it's made it look neater.

Count me in, a season ticket on the Tywi would be a better idea than a cash prize, more money for fund and lets face it the clubs will loose nothing and probably gain a lot!
