Another name to the list.
I read the article and mentioned to a colleague at work the monumental short sightedness of the design, before I saw this on the internet. I'm glad there is an organised opposition to it, and only too pleased to put my name to it. Good Luck.
As an addition my colleague has fished most of the world and mentioned that in the PNW they have these fish runs, and over them they spray water onto the surface of the water, apparently the seals don't like it so giving the salmon underneath a safe arbour.

Hello kingfisher, I Have just joined this forum,i live at Stockton on Tees.I AM also new to the Internet .my name is Peter Boiston and i have been trying to highlight the slaughter at the TEES BARRAGE .I have been supported by the EVENING GAZETTE since 2002 ,they have printed all my letters.I Have also got 100% support from FF&FTying Magazine.I Started my campaign because i saw Salmon being killed bellow the TEES BARRAGE.The buy out of the North East Nets has helped migratory fish in our N-E rivers but for some reason BRITISH WATERWAYS &THE ENVOIREMENT AGENCY are not prepared to to listen ,instead they are going to let Salmon ,Sea Trout,Ells,Flatfish which only want to Spawn in the TEES & its tributeries be KILLED by Cormarants & Seals for Another 3 YEARS.The TEES BARRAGE Has killed migratory fish the same as POLLUTION Killed the River TEES IN the past. Wales is going to get this TEES BARRAGE fish kill if BRITISH WATERWAYS Are allowed to build another SEVERN BARRAGE. IT will be an Envoiremental Disaster to these fish which are on the WORLD ENDANGERED LIST. I have signed the A.C.A Petition and i have just become a member of GAMEFISHING ON LINE Who are signing the PETITION .they are a good friendly bunch who have made me feel very welcome .as i said this computor has realy opened up fishing sites to me and i am learning every day. Hi Peter it is Bishop's water that i fish i'm not a member of Darlington Brown Trout yet. As far as success gose i do pretty well considering i don't get up there as often as i would like, spend most of my time Sea Trouting on the Wear. The water on the Tees is excellent fly water but most of the locals fish with the spinner. All the fish i have caught on Tees have been Salmon not managed the elusive Sea Trout, but there is some there.

To kingfisher . I fished Egglestone 3 times without any success.I will have to try harder, but i can still enjoy it because of the area.Hopefully if everybody puts pressure on BW & EA We will get the fish upstream instead of inside a seal.Have you seen Gameangler on Line they are N-E based and made me very welcome. From Peter .

i have receied an E.mail telling me that the a.c.a has received 800 signatures i live Near to the TEES BARRAGE and i am trying to save salmon, sea -trout ,ells ,bream ,salmon parr, whiting.I Have not seen many fish ladders, but i think who ever built the tees ladder must have no idea .it is a disgrace that fish are held in a 10 feet x3feet wide metal cage and then be lifted out of the passage <30to 40 fish some can be 20 pound plus> their is talk of snatchers stalking migratory fish and bragging that they are catching 100 in a season.i have wrote to the fisheries minister and i have asked anglers at GAME ANGLER ON LINE another forum that i have joined that are a realey friendly group who realy make you welcome. i hope you will all sign this A.C.A FREE PETITION AT <www.a-c-a.org>.The public have seen otters catching fishes held up at this cage.i have seen a large polecat and i have seen a cormerant with a 2ft ell and pan size flatfish.Yours Sincerly P.BOISTON <LOCHBOIS>
