This years dates are 30th May to 1st June.
If you've got kids or know one that would be interested, pm me and I will send you the details to save Dave Mee some time!
It's a cracking weekend, and well worthwhile begging or borrowing a kid if you dont have one so you can look over their shoulders and learn from the Internationals. Kids ages are from 12 to 18 so I guess you might get away with TT, although I suspect they know him!
It's the Welsh and English associations combined, and they select the teams for the annual world cup here, although this year is in Portugal and they are not going on principle. Next overseas trip is likely to be Czech Republic in September.

I will hopefully make this one, and it would be good to catch up. Thanks for mentioning the event Rex, and in good time. It really is a fantastic event, and one that I would highly recommend. Another great avenue to introduce the next generation to the sport, or to widen their understanding. TT.

My son went last year, his first time on a river. He was asked to join the team and went to a training camp in Yorkshire. Previously we would be happy to take a few fish from a days fishing. Now he goes into a pool and confidently expects to take 5 fish in an hour of fishing using several different techniques.
Really wonderful how the internationals teach the kids and old dogs like me can even keep up and learn a couple of tricks.
Kids do need to know how to cast and to have waders - felt very sorry for the kid in wellies last year....
Steffan, did you go through the Welsh team selection process and attend the event too?

Steffan, did you go through the Welsh team selection process and attend the event too? Wasn't around in my day I'm afraid Rex unfortunately. I've been off the competition scene for a few years now, having done my first comp for 10 years this winter. Will do a few more this year though, perhaps. TT.

Norsy, SMW and Shocker!!! That certainly would be a learning weekend for the kids!! They would learn more over the weekend than they would in a lifetime, however, I'm not sure it would be entirely fishing orientated. ;D
TT.
