A bit late in the day, sorry.
Llandysul Angling Association are holding an open day tomorrow, Saturday 25th May, meeting/starting at the Porth hotel in Llandysul at 11am. The event is help to promote the Teifi, and the fishing available under Llandysul Angling. It's a good day for new members or prospective members to meet some of the locals and get shown some of the water etc.
I have never been to one before, but will be in attendance for this one. I have heard good reports from previous open days.
Worth a trip perhaps if you're wife/husband is off shopping?

The day went well, even though not many people turned up.
Pat O'Reilly did a talk about the river, along with discussing hatches etc.
Sue Barker did some casting instruction on the river, which was great to watch.
Some of the local club members then took the new members around some of the club beats, showing them some likely water and suggested pools etc.
It was great to meet up with some old friends and new faces.
TT.
p.s. will try and give more warning of the event next year, as it's a great day-out.

As promised; a bit more warning for this year's event. The Open/Welcome day has been arranged for the 10th of May 2008 (Saturday). It's a great day out, and open to all - new members and old. The event begins at the Porth Hotel, Llandysul, at 11.30am. It's a free day out, so please do feel free to come along. TT. p.s. This is a day for asking questions about fishing on club waters, and getting to know the beats etc. and how best to approach them and the fishing. This is NOT a day to come to vent your questions regarding something outside of this agenda, as happend last year!

Thought I would post a reminder to TT's earlier post regarding the Llandysul AA open day on Saturday May 10th. I believe it starts at 11.30am at the Porth Hotel, Llandysul. Is anyone planning on attending? As things stand at the moment I am intending to go, and I was wondering if any other forum members are likely to be attending. I'm sure it will be an informative day.
