I Had a cast with the new Scientific Anglers Sharkskin line today and was very very impressed. It was very supple and cast very very well. The bumpf says that the coating will make the line last twice as long as a normal line, but this comes at a price - they are £69.99! Heres a link solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Scientific_Anglers/Fly-Fishing/Products/WhatsNew/The coating is woven, similar to braid, and whilst it probably isnt too good for casting Tubes and the like, it would make a very nice floating line for smaller flies. Perhaps i'll get one when the prices drop! Hoppy

Look nice but would need to cast one.GBP70 puts a sizeable dent in the wallet, how do you think they compare against a Sewin Caster Line,or Cortland 555?
Just a thought - I noticed on the Salmon Forum they had started to pool together to buy tackle in order to get wholesale prices. I know the season has pretty much started and most people will have sorted out any tackle issues but could be a idea for the future.Logistics could be a nightmare though.
