Moose
I take it you mean the Gordon ?
I had both a 10' and 91/2' ft Gordon both for a 7 weight. For some reason I just couldn't get on with the 10 footer...probably me but I found it had a strange sort of "kick" when casting and was half the rod on the bank that it was in the shop. The 91/2 footer I got on with much much better and IMO is by far the better rod.Nicely built and performs very very well.
Unfortunately about a year later in a fit of madness I bought a 91/2 ' Hardy Gem which I absolutely adore and the poor old Gordon has hardly been out since...which is a bit unfair because its a smashing rod.The 10 footer I sold...just one of those rods which though perfectly good I just couldn't get on with.
The Gordons are good rods. There are better rods around but in the price range I think they are as good as any and if you can pick one up a bit cheaper worth a go.I put my 10 footer on e-bay at £90 and it went in an hour.Maybe I underpriced it but £90 for a £125 rod I thought was a very fair return.
I use mine for reservoir fishing and also sewin but I can't comment on how it performs for sewin because I've not had one on it.
Hope that helps.

Hope it's not one of the ones that were stolen from the docks. Sharpes got some of them back I gather - they were offered on ebay and Sharpes guys made some enquiries about them and put the police onto it.
Happy Easter!
