i bought a pair of vision extreme waders with the zip in may last year as recommended by one of the lads on the forum, bloody brilliant . i also bought a pair of vision dual extreme wading boots £95 bloody quid i rinsed em down and nikwaxed em after every use and the bloody sole has fell of again , i now have 3 pair of boots all with the same problem the guy at the shop assured me that wouldn't happen with these boots as he has never had a problem with them , he bloody well will have in the morning i will be there 9pm receipt in hand and all guns blazing what is up with these people does nobody make decent gear these days i think £95 is a lot of money and that makes em not much cheaper than Simms of whom i was going to buy my waders from until i as told that vision boots were the business i am so glad that a decided to check my gear before my trip up the annan billy fury[ious ]

I have a lot of faith in Orvis boots nowadays (Henry Forks); not only do they perform well, but if the soles fall off they replace them no questions asked.
TT.

yes , steff or vis have got a back up service second to none, to be honest when i first tried my vision waders they leaked but were replaced within a week no charge , so ihope they do the same with the boots ,they have a 12 months warranty which runs out in may this year, but never the less its annoying they looked okay when i looked at them i just thought i would put new laces in them put them on to get the laces right and hey presto the sole came loose i wouldn't have been very happy if it happened on the river its dangerous enough as it is billy p

Just a small point Billy, but if you are going in with all guns blazing you might get a better result at 9AM rather than 9PM.! Best of luck with your quest.

Ever thought of trying Korkers?
At least the soles are meant to come off!
Seriously, I've been using Korkers for the past three seasons or so and they are excellent. They're based on a walking boot 'last' and are very comfortable for walking long distances and the inter changeable soles are a joy, if like me, your fishing ranges from slippery. stoney rivers to muddy reservoir banks.
They come with studded felt and cleated rubber that can be swapped over as appropriate. 3 seasons and as good as new.

I have had a pair of korker streamborn's for about 3 months now, although thats not long enough to judge them on durability. i have to say without doubt they are the most comfortable boots i have ever owned.

Buzz,
Why not phone Guideflyfish themselves? They might replace direct as my (vis) rod guarantee says that it must be returned direct........worth a shot or phonecall.

I bought some Orvis clearwater felt soled boots and they seem great... the sole is unlikely to come off ever now that I've screwed wading studs into them as well!
What, no niff?

Get your money back - plus p&p - tell them you will be highlighting the companies failures across the Internet and between friends. Then spend about £65 on a pair of Simms leather ones - good boots - not impressed with the G3's though! Hoppy

Get your money back - plus p&p - tell them you will be highlighting the companies failures across the Internet and between friends. Then spend about £65 on a pair of Simms leather ones - good boots - not impressed with the G3's though! Hoppy I must say that I had really good wear out of my G3's, probably close to 4 seasons. They did have a design fault in the crotch area, probably why they have released an updated version now. Bought myself some cloudveil waders late last year, and I must say they are the best I have owned for design and comfort, hopefully they will stand the test of time too! In regards to boots, I did have the simms L2, and they did look worn very quickly indeed, not highly recommended. The leather ones Hoppy points out have been highly recommended by a couple of friends of mine that fish a lot, and have had no problems with them - however, you don't get much feel through them. All in all, the orvis henry forks are the best I've personally used, but they have just updated them too, so hopefully they're as good as the older model. TT.

The vision extreme waders (not boots) are 99 quid at Fawcetts I just saw. It says they are the older version (no zip?). Can anyone recommend them?

The ones with the built in boots are the same price too. Im presuming steer clear of these ones cos if the sole falls off you have to replace the lot?
