I really liked the Simms G3's, and had over 3 seasons wear out of mine - bearing in mind that I'm in them at least twice a week 12 months of the year, which means they get a battering. Have recently converted to the William Joseph breathables, and at around half the price find them excellent, although they haven't had the test of time yet. However, with an aftersales statement of; "if you rip your waders acidentally, we will repair them to the fullest of our availability free of charge. If the problem is our fault, then we will replace the waders without question, whatever their age." Here's a link for them, don't think they're over here yet: www.wildernessangler.com/servlet/Detail?no=787As for boots; orvis henry forks are excellent, and orvis' aftersales service is faultless. Waders to avoid; Snowbee - at the moment I have got nothing but bad sentiments towards them and their waders. Their aftersales has been rude and appalling, and their waders have really reduced in quality over the past 3-5 years. I know a couple of boys on here who will echo this statement. TT.

No matter which waders you buy, as long as the water's cold enough, I'd recommend you slip a pair of breathable camo trousers over them while night fishing, to tone them down and protect the lower legs from damage while moving about. You can pick them up for about £30 in any army surplus shop. The trend for lighter colours may be ok in the day over a sandy riverbed, but at night or on a dark bed they're positivly iridessent.

They are just in their first season, so I can't really tell you their life expectancy as yet. But, as mentioned, their guarantee is excellent, and their build quality is superb. TT.

thanks lads and thanks for the link stef that works out at £145.00 plus postage If you are lucky you might avoid it, but be prepared to pay VAT at 17% plus about 6% import duty and maybe a handling charge on top.

Waders to avoid; Snowbee - at the moment I have got nothing but bad sentiments towards them and their waders. Their aftersales has been rude and appalling, and their waders have really reduced in quality over the past 3-5 years. I know a couple of boys on here who will echo this statement. I recently purchased a pair of Snowbee XS waders and after only the third outing they were leaking around the dinky area Now!,after reading Steff's comments I sh!te my pants but. I phoned Snowbee earlier and they were most helpful ;D they are having the waders picked up tomorrow to sort things out. I am not happy they leaked but a big thank you goes out to them for their quick response to my problem.
