ive just joined a local club with trout fishing on a tiny stream and ive fixed myself up with a couple of 7. 6 in rods they take a 4 weight line. the river is heavily treelined and narrow, what would be the best floating line - a double taper or weight forward. regards to all . locko

Tough call.Me,I'd use a DT,more flexible and versatile in different situations.I know a lot of people wont agree, that WF lines are designed to load the rod with the minimum of line out and false casts but Ive not had one yet that did better than a DT for short range.Someone was saying recently that Wulff triangle taper lines let you roll cast etc nicely but thats one I havent tried.... anyone else?
