Has anyone come across floating flying c's I am sure I read about them somewhere,anyone know where they can be bought.

hi tote,presuming you can make a normal condom :-/to make a floating one is dead easy,get a length of balsa about 8mm in diametre(from most model shops),next cut a length of balsa 1" to 1and a half inches depending on how big and bouyant you want them,next take a craft knife and taper one end in to a dome shape and sand dome so that its smooth(this shape just helps tp insert it into rubber body later on in process)next put ballsa body in to a vice and drill through the whole length of the body with a 3mm drill bit(for wire to pass through)make up a few bodies up and drill then put them into something like thompsons water seal so they become sealed and dont take any water into them when being fished,next insert body domed end first into rubber body(a real good lubricant is needed for this as wood and rubber dont go to well(latex loob is best),then just use normal condom bits and make as normal. :-*if you make them small and use a small blade you can use them on a fly rod(slow sinker with a roly poly retrieve)as for the normal size,fish as posted in flies and condoms.hope this helps. stumpy......
